Taking a Long Break
52 Watchers138 Deviations

Hello, everyone. I have been a member of DeviantArt for three years now. It doesn't seem so long compared to my seven years on fanfiction. Anyway, I'm here to make three announcements.

1. I'm not going to be doing the song of the week anymore. I feel like I keep repeating myself every week with my reasons for liking a particular song. Also, sometimes it seems that there are too many songs I want to talk about that week. Then on other weeks I'm grasping for straws with finding something, and I might pick a filler song which is not really fair to the song itself. Also it's kind of time consuming.

2. I have decided not to continue my Organization Chibis comic strip. I feel the quality is poor, so I put them in storage until a later time if I get around to improving them.

One idea was to perhaps transfer it into written form, but I feel it would lose its charm if that happened. Besides I have lost all interest in writing.

3. That brings me to the third announcement, and this one is more bittersweet. I've already made this announcement on Fanfiction, but I'll make it here too. I have lost all inspiration and interest for art; at first I thought it was only writing, but lately I find myself not wanting to draw or paint either. I feel disconnected from my work, so I think it's best that I take a very long break. When I say long, that may mean a few months, perhaps years, or permanently. I had hoped this creative block that I've been experiencing for several months now would have ended, but sadly it hasn't.

I've already removed close to fifty deviations today alone (I didn't think them good enough to stay). Over the remainder of the night, and for the next few days I expect half of my deviations to be gone.

Being a part of a fandom and an art community was fun, but I think it's time to call it quits. I feel there are bigger and better things ahead that don't include art. Being a member on this site will continue to waste my time (I honestly feel I have spent way too much time here that could be used doing something more productive).

I feel it is only fair to tell all of my watchers and friends that I plan on leaving once I finish those last two comics. This isn't out of the blue, I've been feeling this way for months, but now is time for me to stop dawdling and make a decision, and I have. I will keep some of my best arts up, but nothing new will be coming.

I will continue to check in to offer support to my friends, but I won't post anymore art of my own. Therefore I won't be offended if you choose to remove me from your watch list. Again, if inspiration hits me again, I might return, but as of now I'm certain it won't be for a while.

Goodbye and Good luck to everyone here. I hope all of your dreams come true.

This is a list of my favorite creepypastas. It's mainly a guide for people new to creepypasta, or some who have been a part of the fandom for a while, and are looking for a good read. Some are scary, some are just good stories, and there's even one for laughs.

I've included a brief summary and the reason(s) why I like that particular pasta. I may come back and update this if I remember any I have forgotten, or come across a few more that I like. If you feel that I have missed any good ones, please leave a comment below.

I don't own any of the stories listed below.

I’m Your Problem Now- The scariest one in my opinion. It didn’t help that I first read it at three in the morning, but listening to it two years later at eleven in the morning it’s still as scary. It’s about an urban legend of the events that occur when listening to this particular song at a precise time, under specific conditions.

Listening In- The ending of this one scared me. It’s about a guy who is searching the web and buys a set of headphones. The events that come after contains true horror.

Love- It’s not scary, but a beautiful, tear-jerking ghost story about a man’s loyalty to a friend’s family; I was sniffling at the end of it.

The Strangest Security Tape I Ever Seen- This one is creepy. It’s about a guy who’s manager asks him to watch a security camera to see if he catches the new employee in the act of stealing. What is on that tape, I can’t even describe it—it’s just creepy.

Abandoned by Disney- It has a creepy atmosphere and a realism feel to it. It’s about a Disney theme park that was abandoned and this guy investigates only to find out some things are better left unknown. And that ending…it’s pretty terrifying.

Tourist Trap- It’s the tale of another abandoned theme park with a creepy ending.

Ben Drowned- This one is pretty popular, but I think it’s one of the best written pastas. It’s the story of a guy who buys an old Majora’s Mask cartridge that happens to be haunted. The whole not unreliable protagonist (not knowing which parts of the story he wrote, and which parts Ben possibly wrote) makes it scary.

The Girl in the Photograph- This one gets originality points. It’s the story of a teenage boy who finds a photograph of a pretty girl and obsesses in his search to find her. I did not see the ending coming.

The Portraits- Oh boy, if this ever happened in real life, I’d be terrified. It’s the story of a hunter who is out late in the woods and stops in an old house in which portraits are hanging on the wall. Again, the ending gives me chills each time.

1999- Again, the realism of this one makes it scary. It’s pretty long, but worth it.

Mereana Mordegard Glesgorv- The mystery surrounding this video that causes people to go insane is creepy. It’s the vagueness and mystery that makes it scary.

Eyeless Jack- In my opinion, one of the scariest pasta monsters.

Grocery List- The ending will make you shiver. I can’t say anymore without ruining the story.

SuicideMouse.avi- I think it’s my favorite lost episode pasta. It’s the story of a strange and scary Mickey Mouse cartoon that has negative consequences for its viewers. The realism of this story makes it one of my favorites.

Superman: No Heroes- Not so much scary, but it is rather disturbing. It follows an angsty and unsettling issue of a Superman comic.

Laughing Jack- In my opinion, he’s the most dangerous of all the pasta monsters.

Axis Powers Hetalia: Episode 23.5- If you ever watched the anime, this one will make you cry. More sad than scary, and very believable.

Russian Sleep Experiment- A lot of people claim this as one of their favorites. It is a believable story of a sleep deprivation experiment held in the 1940s that leads to terror, with a shocking true horror ending.

Ticci-Toby- A Slenderman’s proxy story, but I think it’s well written with an interesting character.

Candle Cove- This one has a good twist ending. It’s the story of a nostalgic television story board on the internet. It gets creepier by the minute that leads up to that perfect ending.

Kagome, Kagome (Circle You)- Terrifying, that’s all I can say about that.

America’s Funniest Home Videos Lost Episode- It’s a lost Christmas episode of America’s Funniest Home Videos. Some parts are pretty gruesome, but it’s a creepy one. The image woman eating the Christmas bauble gives me the creeps.

Kaleidoscope- It’s the story of a man who finds an antique kaleidoscope while on vacation. This one just has a strange atmosphere to it.

Lil Wayne’s Secret- This one is pretty scary. It’s a (fake) story of how Lil Wayne received fame and fortune. The detail of the recording session is a description of pure horror.

Chuckie’s Mom- One of the scariest lost episode pastas I’ve ever read. It’s the story of how a disturbing episode of Rugrats was aired by mistake on Nickelodeon.

The Patron Saint of the Good-Looking Corpse- A demon owns a bar which hosts especially great musical acts. This one gets originality points and makes for an interesting read.

The Old VHS Tape- One of the creepiest lost episode pastas. It’s a lost episode of Scooby Doo. There’s no gore and none of the clichés, just a really weird story that leaves you freaked out in the end.

Jeff the Killer- One of the most popular pastas. Some people love it and some hate it, but personally I enjoyed the story, though I found Jeff’s fate to be more of a tragedy than horror.

Cathedral Glitch- It’s a Kingdom Hearts haunted game pasta. The imagery in this one is chilling. This one is more personal with the fact that my favorite game franchise could have such a dark secret.

Hands- This one is a good read.

A Diary in a Mine- It’s the story of three miners who get trapped in a cave, and one keeps a diary during the week. This one is interesting and the ending is really weird.

Teh Day of All teh Blod- This is a troll pasta, and makes for a good laugh after reading a few scary ones.

The Nice Guy- It’s an interesting story. I mostly like the fact that it’s told from a third-party perspective of a guy just telling the other two the rumors he’s heard. The build up for this one is good.

Normal Porn for Normal People- Very weird, but the ending is intense and disturbing.

The Cell Phone Game- This one is really good. The whole story is creative, especially the ending.

Smile Dog- A file containing a smiling dog causes the viewers to go insane. The thought of this actually existing is scary enough.

The Disappearance of Ashley, Kansas- This one is a good story plot-wise. It’s really scary though.

To anyone who uses this to find some good horror stories, I hope you enjoy!

So I've been drawing a lot lately and since I recently found out that there are no limits on how many deviations can be posted, I'll be posting quite a few over the next few days. Yay!
